How does it work?

The tutor logs onto the server together with the student. From this moment on, the entire conversation takes place exclusively in English. The student builds, explores and plays – and the language appears naturally in every situation. No translating vocabulary lists.
After the lesson, the pupil gets homework in the form of a video from an English-speaking YouTuber – chosen to match their interests, not the textbook.

What do we offer?

Tailor-made lessons

Every lesson is for one person only. The pace, topics and level of difficulty are tailored to the specific student – there is no set syllabus that everyone goes through in turn.

Learning through Minecraft

A tutor and student play together online and talk exclusively in English. Building, exploring and completing tasks together – the language appears in a natural context, not in exercises.

The immersion method

Instead of learning English, the student immerses themselves in it. Just like a child acquires their native language – through contact and context, not through grammar rules.

The homework you'll actually want to do

The tasks are videos from English-speaking YouTubers chosen to match the student's interests – gaming, sport, humour, science. No workbook exercises.

Mine and Learn is a continuation of the Language Laboratories language school, founded in 1968. What has changed is the method – instead of language laboratories, there is Minecraft. What has remained is the philosophy: language through immersion, not through cramming.
